SIP Trunking made easy
SIP Trunking – you may have heard of it, or been told you need it, but what is it? And do you need it?
First off, if you don’t have a PBX (phone system) you won’t need SIP Trunking, and even if you do have a PBX, it must be one that supports SIP.
In simple terms SIP Trunks are needed if you want your PBX phone system to be able to make and receive phone calls using your internet connection, rather than using costly telephone lines. SIP Trunks sit between your PBX and the network providers (such as BT, Vodafone, EE, etc.,). They enable calls you make from your phone system to be routed out to the wider telecommunications network. Put simply, SIP Trunking is the link between your phone system and the wider telephone network. Without it you won’t be able to make and receive calls on your PBX using your internet connection.
Our SIP Trunks come with inclusive FREE calls to 01, 02, 03 and 07 numbers (most mobiles and standard landline numbers).
